It is most certainly not awkward to say you love me for writing these novels, Melissa B. I'm happy to receive said love. I think the Twilight books are pretty polarizing. You either love or hate them. But clearly Stephanie Meyer has tapped into something. Thanks for reading!

I laugh in the face of Twilight and all its insanity, as do all my friends. My favorite quote about it comes from our school newspaper. While talking about writing papers late into the night the day before they are due, the writer says, "...or you could be like Stephanie Meyer and eat a bunch of alphabet soup and crap out your paper."
I really do wish your books were more popular. I have yet to read the second (I'm saving it for Christmas break when I can re-read the first before I delve into the second). I think whoever wrote that review hit the nail on the head. Especially when I think about it as the student of sociology/anthropology that I am.
Would it be awkward to say I love you for writing them? I swear I mean it in a non-creepy fashion. Thank you for writing novels that actually have something to say.

Please don't spontaneously combust, Tasha! It will leave a horrible smell and I don't think you want to be remembered that way. I have indeed wandered off from the Jack and Jill saga for my third novel, which is about surveillance and high stakes testing. It's not that I don't love the McTeagues. I just had this other story I had to do. If I do write a third Cycler, I'll be sure to let you know!

Lauren,

I just finished reading the first two books (I picked up the first yesterday on my Kindle and wasn't able to stop), and believe me when I tell you that if I can't get a third I might spontaneously combust.

Please tell me your third book is about Jack & Jill.

I hope you take this next comment in the spirit intended: I haven't had this much need to read a next book since I did the whole Twilight series over Christmas last year.

Hope you're having fun over there and didn't get too wet in the crossing.
