My favorite quote about it comes from our school newspaper. While talking about writing papers late into the night the day before they are due, the writer says, "...or you could be like Stephanie Meyer and eat a bunch of alphabet soup and crap out your paper." I really do wish your books were more popular. I have yet to read the second (I'm saving it for Christmas break when I can re-read the first before I delve into the second). I think whoever wrote that review hit the nail on the head. Especially when I think about it as the student of sociology/anthropology that I am. Would it be awkward to say I love you for writing them? I swear I mean it in a non-creepy fashion. Thank you for writing novels that actually have something to say. It will leave a horrible smell and I don't think you want to be remembered that way. I have indeed wandered off from the Jack and Jill saga for my third novel, which is about surveillance and high stakes testing. It's not that I don't love the McTeagues.
