Screenwriter
I wrote the screenplays for Prisoner of Love (starring Naomi Campbell and Eric Thal), Specimen (starring Mark Paul Gosselaar), and Hypercube, the sequel to the cult hit, Cube. I also wrote the award-winning science fiction web series, Maatkara and Chi-Chian for scifi.com. More recently I have several feature scripts in development at various production companies spanning the genres of action, thriller, horror, historical adventure, and drama.
Director
My most recent short film, Britain Votes—a satire of the last UK election—recently went viral on TikTok. My previous short film, Free, won best UK short at the London Independent Film Festival as well as Best Director and Outstanding Achievement at Indie Short Fest. Gotcha, was short-listed for the NextUp Comedy shorts award. And my first short film, The Long Game, won Best Director and Best Dramatic Short at Indie X Film Festival as well as being selected for the Toronto Women Film Festival. I’ve also directed and edited commercials for FitFlop, Chanel, The Diamond Store, The Guardian, Sainsburys, Farmologie, KaDeWe, and others.
Producer
In the mid-nineties I joined Mike Paseornek in launching the New York arm of a small Canadian film production company that we grew quite rapidly into what is now Lionsgate. While there, I produced American Psycho, Buffalo 66, and many others. Prior to that I produced commercials for L’Oreal, Chanel, Harrods, Ford cars and others, as well as music videos for The B52’s, The Spin Doctors, and Nas.
